My internet went out for the longest time!!!!! Anyway, entry for 's contest and hopefully she'll still accept it. Really, I would have submitted it yesterday or before but I kept editing it but I'm okay with it now... I think....

Karma is an expert in the ways of the samurai sword (though her parents were against it) and has taken it back up so she can protect maki from harm. Maki has no skills except she makes herself a distraction and throw objects at the enemy if her sister is in trouble. she pretty much just stays out of the way, most of the time.

Karma use to be a very cheerful and energetic girl before she was married off to another family, now she is very serious and calm, but shows kindness to everyone especially her sister, Maki. Maki is exactly was Karma use to be, cheerful and always optimistic.
~ Likes/Dislikes:
Karma likes flowers, sitting in the garden, and taking walks with Maki. She dislikes the idea of arranged marriages, stories with happy endings of love, and her second husband (first one died soon after they married from going to war).
Maki likes sweets, flowers, anything shiny and/or beautiful (like her sister), love stories or fairytales, and dressing up. Maki dislikes mean people like Karma's husband, being kept in the dark about things going on, the dark, and anyone that is rude to her sister.
~ History behind your char. (background data, their past/present):
Karma is the first daughter of the Yamashita Family, and also a love child of her mother's affair (the mother and father have a rough start on their arranged marriage). Luckily, Lord Yamashita was kinda and accepted Karma as his daughter. 10 years later, the mother had another daughter, Yamashita's, and named her Maki. Karma often cared for Maki when she was young and they grew close, until Karma was married (arranged marriage) at age of 14 and taken away to her new home. Karma's husband died in battle soon after and was married to another family in order to create strong ties (originally Maki was suppose to be the bride for their youngest son but Karma is forced to marry the second oldest). Karma and her new husband do not get along, he drinks and sleeps with the help. She refuses to bare him a child. After 8 years, Lord Yamashita and his wife were murdered and maki was saved. maki was immediately brought to Karma's home and disguised as a helping girl for Karma. Karma assures Maki she would never let anyone hurt her and let her live a peaceful life. But the second part isn't kept up for long as the two sisters go through tough times and tragedies.
~ Hobbies:
Karma likes to learn to play different instruments but is best with the shamisen and is skilled in arts of the samurai sword, she likes to make kimonos too for Maki even though it is the help's job to provide these, and relaxing in the japanese garden. Maki's are running around the garden or the forest nearby, helping Karma, reading romance books or fairytales with Karma, and making origami.
